1. The process begun with just brainstorming words that reminded me of the letter Q. At first, I could only think of making my letter out of things that began with the letter Q. Then, we had to draw 20 thumbnail sketches of ideas we had, and went around to our peers to get feedback. Below is what I came up with, along with feedback I got.

After getting feedback where people chose their favorites, it was time to choose our two favorite ones to convert into a bigger draft. I chose the ones that I liked, and felt could become something if they were bigger, so I tried out a watch with a broken chain and a bubble on the wand. The watch went nowhere and didn't really look like  a Q. I liked the bubble, but I felt like it was too simple.
I decided to do more than two drafts. On the back, I tried to draw a clock with the big hand breaking through the bottom, but it definitely did not look like a Q.  I'm not completely sure why, but I started craving sushi, and had this idea of putting sushi on a round plate and placing chopsticks to make it look like a Q. I found this concept to be the one with the most potential and decided to stick with it.
2. To represent my concept, I made put the sushi on a round plate, and placed the sushi itself in a smaller circle. I used this to represent the inner and outer rings of the O part. Then, I placed the pair of chopsticks on the lower right hand corner to be the line that comes out of the Q.
3. The most challenging part of this project had to be coming up with the idea. I could not think of anything except words that started with the letter Q, and had trouble visualizing anything else. This part probably took up more of my time than actually drawing and creating my final. When I finally thought of the sushi
idea, it was pretty much smooth sailing from there.
4. I am pretty satisfied with my project. I think it is some of my best work I have done. I am proud of myself for coming up with this idea that was not Q related, and for also being able to stick to it and make it look like my letter.
5. I wouldn't change anything about my design to be honest. I really like it. I would probably try to make my sushi look more realistic.
